Heidi Carlsen premieres The Empty Pocket, a surreal fairytale of a woman and an heirloom peacoat, October 2-4 at Joe Goode Annex.
The Empty Pocket: In Progress Showing, Chicago
Performed as a work in progress as part of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Low-Residency MFA Exhibition, The Empty Pocket is a solo non-narrative dance/theater piece told through text, music, video imagery, and movement. It is a surreal fairytale of a hand-me-down peacoat that begins as protective and shifts to threatening.

+–INFINITY is a dance theater production created and directed by Heidi Carlsen in collaboration with the performers and presented at Zajezdnia Tramwajowa (a performance warehouse) in Wrocław, Poland, with support from the Fulbright Association.
